El Salvadoreño Food Truck Information

If you find yourself in the mood for a flavorful, authentic taste of El Salvador while in Boardman, Oregon, El Salvadoreño Food Truck is the spot to visit. Nestled at 105 S Main St, this vibrant food truck offers a delicious escape with its comforting, homey dishes that transport you straight to the heart of Central America.

The menu at El Salvadoreño is a celebration of Salvadoran cuisine, where every bite brings a burst of rich flavors. A standout favorite is the pupusa, a warm, thick corn tortilla stuffed with a variety of fillings like cheese, pork, or beans. The texture is satisfyingly crispy on the outside while staying soft and savory on the inside. Each pupusa is served with a tangy slaw called curtido, which complements the richness of the dish perfectly.

Another must-try is their yuca frita, crispy fried cassava served with a zesty tomato salsa that adds a refreshing contrast to the deep-fried goodness. It's simple, yet so flavorful. If you're craving something hearty, the baleada is a great choice-this flour tortilla filled with refried beans, creamy cheese, and a dollop of sour cream never disappoints. The portions are generous, and the flavors are as bold as they are satisfying.

The atmosphere of the food truck itself has an inviting, laid-back vibe. With the warmth of the sun overhead and the sounds of happy chatter from nearby patrons, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal on a leisurely afternoon. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch on the go or relaxing with friends, El Salvadoreño offers a casual dining experience where the focus is squarely on great food.

The service is friendly and efficient, with the staff always ready to offer recommendations or customize your order. The locals are loyal, often returning for their favorites, and it's easy to see why. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared, making it a local gem that brings a little taste of El Salvador to the heart of Boardman.

Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, El Salvadoreño Food Truck never fails to deliver an authentic Salvadoran experience that’s both comforting and full of flavor.

What People's Say About Place

Looking to support locals, found this little gem. Pretty run down area but the food was legit. Pupusa had a delicious dough, bonus points with the crusty cheese on outside. 4 stars because the beans were a little grainy. But the pollo tacos were straight money.

Food was delicious and the service was very friendly! I had some pupusas for the first time and loved them. Highly recommend visiting this food truck if you get a chance!

Wasome food great toasted torilla over steak burrito was elite great for a quick fuel up on a long road trip

5 menu items. Quesadillas, Tortas, Papusas, Burritos and Tacos. Traditional meat choices. The location is good with fair access right off the interstate. Truck and trailer parking right across the street. I would have given it 5 stars but there is no menu, no prices, no listing of meat options or descriptions of what is in the various menu options (i.e. what is in the burrito or total or quesadilla).

Most amazing food! Saw the amazing reviews and wanted to get in on this gem! Lady at the window was super friendly and papusas & slaw were so so good. Had the pork tortas as well! Delicious! Price has gone up since the photos. 3.50 for those items now. Well worth the $$$! Bonus: the flour they use is all Gf! I asked and the lady said they only use corn flour and the bag says gluten free. I didn’t ask about the seasonings, but I was super excited they don’t use any wheat flour for any menu items!

Delicious tortas! Service was pretty quick even on a busy day. There was plenty of parking, too.

Highly recommend stopping here for some authentic El Salvadoran tacos.

We tried this truck because I love papusas and heard theirs were the best. We ordered Carne Asada Tortas, a Queso Papusa, and a Queso & Beans Papusa. I have to say we were not disappointed at all. Everything was excellent, customer service was great, and the prices were fair. I have another favorite to add to my list of places to eat. Thank you.
